JAMMU, Dec 23: The Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof Manoj Dhar today released a book on “Human Rights in 21st century: Issues & Emerging Trends”, authored by Dr Monica Narang, Sr Assistant Prof, The Law School.
The book covers vast areas with topics concerning environment, climate changes, antimicrobial resistance, inquest into the rights of women prisoners, social media & internet. The book envisages to make assessments of what has been achieved in areas of human rights with the way forward & reflects on contemporary challenges & prospects. Nitan Sharma and Sonam Prasher, research scholars in Law, contributed in abundance whilst compiling the book.
The Vice Chancellor JU praised Dr Monica Narang for accomplishing this Herculean task while also applauding the various facets of the book. The program ended on a note that the book becomes a guidance for students and academicians alike in the subject.
