JAMMU, Dec 19: Ch Man-mohan Singh, Vice Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Ltd (JKMSCL) visited Provincial Drug Ware House, Jammu and Regional Drug Ware House, Nagrota.
He was accompanied by Inder Jeet, Managing Director, JKMSCL; Vivek Phonsa, General Manager (Adm) JKMSCL; Nazir Ahmad Wani, I/c Quality Control, JKMSCL; Medical Officer and other concerned officers of the JKMSCL. Ch. Manmohan Singh directed the MD, JKMSCL to take up the matter with the JKPCC for the repairment and renovation of Provincial Drug Store of DHS Jammu immediately and installation of racking system in the said drug store.
The Vice-Chairman issued the introduction to concerned I/c Drug Ware Houses to supply the drugs and other items to the Hospitals/Institutes as per their requirement within 20 days before receiving the supply from the suppliers. He directed to the concerned officers/officials of the Drug Stores to update and maintain the proper stock as per the instructions/guidance issued by JKMSCL from time to time. Further, they were directed to not shelf the expiry medicine in the Drug Ware Houses.
Ch. Manmohan Singh asked the Managing Director and General Manager, JKMSCL to take up the matter with the concerned firms whose drugs and other items have been rejected by the Verification Board to lift the said drug and other items at an earliest and also take up the matter with the all concerned Head of the Department’s for submitting their requisitions of drugs/medicines as per the approved EDL list, so that the poor patients may not suffer. Further, Vice- Chairman JKMSCL issued instruction to the I/c Quality Control, JKMSCL to submit the samples to the concerned testing Laboratories for quality testing within 72hrs before receiving the samples from the concerned quarters on divisional basis, i,e Jammu/ Kashmir.
Vice-Chairman, JKMSCL has directed to all the officer/ officials to perform their duties sincerely in the JKMSCL so that functioning of the corporation may become smooth.
