DODA, Jan 11: MLA Doda West, Shakti Raj Parihar today said that the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025 is a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening rural employment and accelerating rural development across the J&K. Addressing a press conference here, today he informed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a comprehensive outreach programme involving press conferences, street-corner meetings, and door-to-door interactions to create awareness about the provisions and benefits of the Act among the rural population.
He further highlighted that under the Act, the total guaranteed employment has been enhanced to 125 days, along with a special provision of a 60-day gap for individuals engaged in agricultural activities, ensuring flexibility for farmers and agricultural workers to balance seasonal farming responsibilities with guaranteed employment opportunities under the mission. Also the entire funding under the Act be provided to UT by the Central Government, which will ensure timely and transparent wage payments directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Parihar also underlined that the Act prioritizes works related to water security, rural infrastructure development, creation of livelihood assets, and climate resilience, thereby contributing to sustainable and inclusive rural growth.
The press conference concluded with a reiteration of the BJP’s commitment to empowering rural India and advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat through employment-oriented and transparent governance initiatives.
