Various social, welfare organizations celebrate Republic Day

JAMMU, Jan 27: 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour by various social and welfare organizations across Jammu and Kashmir. During the celebrations, unfurling of National Flag, organizing of events and distribution of sweets marked the occasion.
On the occasion, Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademy (BDSA), J&K (UT), organized a flag unfurling ceremony at its headquarters in Roopnagar, marked by patriotic enthusiasm, cultural vibrancy, and meaningful reflections on national values. The event witnessed active participation from school students, members of civil society, and community representatives. B R Kundal, President of Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademy, J&K, unfurled the National Flag amid rendition of the National Anthem while students from B R Ambedkar Convent School, Bantalab presented a series of cultural performances,
The Home for the Aged and Infirm (Vridh Ashram), Ambphalla, Jammu celebrated the 77th Republic Day in an atmosphere filled with patriotism, emotion, and heartfelt togetherness. Managing Committee and inmates of the Home came together to honour the spirit of the Republic and Pankaj Gupta, President of the Home, unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Dr Dinesh Gupta, Secretary and others.
Balgran- a Charitable Home for Children at Channi Rama, Jammu, celebrated 77th Republic Day in its complex. Professor J P Singh Joorel, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu unfurled the National Flag. On the occasion, Sadhna Kachroo, Honorary Director, Bal Bharti Public School of Balgran and Life Member of the Trust, donated Rs 3 lakh to Balgran. Her son Dhanajaya Kachroo also donated Rs 3 lakh to Balgran. Similarly Vinod Raina, President Balgran and former Chief Forest Conservator and Sunil Gupta, Balgran Governing Body and former Executive Vice President of J&K Bank, supported financially for the awards to first three winning teams of students. Honorary Secretary Prof R D Sharma presented vote thanks.
On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, the National Flag was unfurled by the Seh Sarkaryavah Atul Limaye at Keshav Bhawan, Ambphalla, Jammu, the provincial office of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Jammu & Kashmir. Prant Sanghchalak Dr Gautam Maingi, Seh Sanghchalak Dr Vikrant Sharma, Prant Pracharak Mukesh Kumar, Prant Vayvashta Parmukh Nagarmal Gupta, along with personnel from the security forces and volunteers were present on the occasion . The programme was organised by the Dr. Hedgewar Smriti Nyas, Jammu & Kashmir.
Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K, celebrated the Republic Day with national fervor and patriotism. The members of the Sabha and people from the surrounding locality gathered at Sabha Bhawan for the celebration during which Col. Karan Singh, president of the Sabha, unfurled National Flag in the presence of Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Working President DSS; Adv H C Jalmaria and others. Sweets were also distributed on the occasion.
Bishnah unit of Dogra Sadar Sabha also celebrated the77th Republic Day at its office headquarter at Bishnah wherein Th Gambhir Singh Charak, Working President DSS, unfurled the National Flag , followed by the singing of National Anthem.
Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha celebrated Republic Day with great pomp and show. Romesh Chander Gupta , President of the Sabha, unfurled the National Flag in the presence of prominent personalities of the Sabha. Sanjay Mahajan, General Secretary conducted the proceedings. Shiv Partap Gupta, Sr Vice President presented vote of thanks.
Mahajan Sabha, Talab Tillo also celebrated the Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Sabha premises. The celebration began with unfurling of National Flag by President of Mahajan Sabha, Talab Tillo, in the presence of members and local residents. The event featured several cultural programmes performed by children
Republic Day was celebrated with pride and reverence at Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Ambphalla wherein K K Khosa, President of the Sabha, unfurled the National Flag. The participants also recited Vande Matram to mark the 150th year of Vande Matram.
Arya Samaj Trikuta Nagar Jammu celebrated 77th Republic Day by paying tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives. Dev Raj Gupta, senior most member, unfurled the National Flag in the presence of President .Ravinder Rekhi, Vice president Ashok Gupta, Secretary Subhash Arya and Treasurer Neelam Arora alongwith other distinguished members.
The Central Govt Pensioners’ Welfare Association, Jammu celebrated the 77th Republic Day with a difference. Many pensioners’ joined in a stirring musical package comprising some of the most popular patriotic songs manifested in spontaneous rhythmic body moments by most of the veterans. It was a very scene when former top ranking bureaucrats were dancing at the popular tunes of patriotic songs. This musical package was conceived and presented by the former DGP Dr Ashok Bhan. More than 60 pensioners including former DGP Kuldeep Khoda, former Secretary to Govt of India Ashok Angurana, former Chief Secretary B R Sharma and some above 80 years old veterans were seen dancing to these popular tunes. President CGPWA, Kuldeep Khoda unfurled the national flag.
The 77th Republic day was celebrated by Dogra Brahman Partindhi Sabha with patriotic fervor in the premises of the Sabha near Parade Ground Jammu. DBPS President Ved Parkash Sharma unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Chairman of DBPS , Advocate P C Sharma, former Dy Commissioner B S Jamwal, NMC President Subash Shastri, Tawi Andolan Chief Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma and others.
The Dogra Brahman Partindhi Sabha Channi Himmat unit also celebrated the Republic Day at Vivekananda Park Sector 3 Channi Himmat under the chairmanship of its unit President Sunil Sharma while DBPS President V P Sharma, who was chief guest on the occasion, unfurled the National Flag.
Adarsh Bhartiya Samaja celebrated Republic Day by unfurling of National Flag by Rattan Lal and paying tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
77th Republic Day celebration was held at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor by the members of The Udhampur Rotary Eye & General Welfare Foundation, Rotary Club Udhampur, and the staff of KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital, Udhampur. National Flag was unfurled by senior members of the Foundation, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Golden Day Care Centre for Senior Citizens, Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu. The programme was graced by Dr Preeti Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer, Jammu, who unfurled the National Flag. Er R K Kohli and Er T R Sharma Coordinators of the center also spoke on this occasion.
Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Centre, Trikuta Nagar celebrated Republic Day by organizing a programme, which was graced by Advocate Rekha Mahajan, Vice President BJP J&K UT, Ashok Kumar Gupta, Chief Patron; S C Verma and others. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by distribution of sweets.
CEEO India – Cultural, Educational and Environmental Organization – commemorated the 77th Republic Day of India with great patriotic fervour at its headquarters in Budgam, at the Chaarah Saaz. The event was organized with the central theme “Nation First – Towards a Drug-Free and Empowered Kashmir”. The programme began with hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the reading of the Preamble of the Constitution of India, reaffirming faith in justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.
The Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF), Jammu celebrated Republic Day at its Channi Himmat office with patriotic zeal. The National Flag was unfurled by Neeraj Anand, President, CTF Jammu, in the presence of patrons Vinod Sachdeva and Vinod Mahajan, S K Sharma, Rajinder Motial , Raman Gupta, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Dinesh Gupta along with senior members of the Federation and market presidents.
On the Republic Day, Welfare Society Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu unfurled the National Flag amid singing of National Anthem and distribution of sweets. In brief speeches, message of equality and brotherhood was delivered and members of the society repeated their commitment for working to the best of their abilities to resolve the problems of the area. Prominent among those present on the occasion were Balwinder Singh Rinku (President), A S Khera Advocate (Chairman) Vikas Bhardwaj, Sanjeev Talwar and others.
Shurveer Jammu Sangathan, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. Activists and local people unfurled the National Flag at Muthi Chowks and Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. On the occasion, Arun Seekay (President SJS) and Bhanu Partap Goria spoke. Those who were present included Partap Singh Jamwal (Chairmen Sangathan), Ravi Tangotra (Gen. Secy SJS), Depan Seekay, Aakash Koul (Secy SJS), Ashok Kumar, Danish Singh, Balbir Raj and others.
Republic Day celebrations were held at All J&K Megh Sabha, Old Rehari, Jammu. Narinder Datt (President ) All J&K Megh Sabha unfurled the flag in presence of large number of gathering. On the occasion, many colorful activities were also held by students.
Shree Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre, (SVLARC), New Plot celebrated 77th Republic Day by distributing sweets and unfurling of National Flag by Ramesh Angotra (Convener). Balwant Kataria (Vice Chairman) spoke on the occasion.
The Friends Welfare Society celebrated Republic Day with grandeur at Chak Sardara in Tawi Island. Esteemed guests, including former Corporator Rashpal Bhardwaj, Dilay Ram, retired TSO Rachpal Kaith, Subedar Major Ram Paul Lakhotra (Retd), Sub Inspector G. Bhardwaj (Retd) and others shared inspiring words. R L Kaith, prominent socio-political activist, highlighted the significance of Republic Day.
Chowgan Salathian Welfare Committee celebrated the 77th Republic Day at JMC Park in Ward No. 1, Jammu East. Following a proud flag-hoisting ceremony, the community shared the joy of the occasion by distributing sweets and traditional Halwa as Prasad.
At a Republic Day function organised by an NGO Utsav Foundation in Gurugram, noted Senior Advocate of Supreme Court of India, Ashok Bhan unfurled the National Flag and addressed the gathering.
Trikuta Kashmiri Pandit Trust, Trkuta Nagar Jammu celebrated 77th Republic Day with great patriotism and enthusiam. National Flag was unfurled and National Anthem was recited on the occasion. Members of the Trust took pledge to serve the humanity.
Tawi Welfare Society Celebrates Republic Day with Patriotic Fervour at Apnavan, Suray Chak
Tawi Welfare Society celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India at its premises at Apnavan, Suray Chak, in a simple yet dignified and impressive manner. The programme commenced with unfurling of the National Flag by Numberdar Parveen Kumari Rajput. Master Kavi Raj, President of Tawi Welfare Society, highlighted the historical significance of 26th January, marking the adoption of the Constitution of India.
Grand public function was organised by the Tomal Welfare Committee at Laxmi Vihar, Tomal Bohri, to celebrate the 77th Republic Day. A large number of residents from Tomal and adjoining areas participated enthusiastically in the event. On the occasion, the National Flag was unfurled by the former Corporator of Ward No. 61, Mohinder Kumar, along with Hira Lal Bhat, Seh-Prabhari BJP KDD and President of the Welfare Committee. The programme concluded with cultural performances by small children, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
Jammu and Kashmir Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Front celebrated 77th Republic Day with great fervor and gaiety and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of this great country. Vinod Pandita, President of the Front, explained in detail the importance of this historical and holy day.
Republic Day celebrations were held by retiree Police officers at Gandhinagar near Ex Dy CM Mangat Ram Sharma’s residence. Large number of Police veterans participated in the event and paid tributes to freedom fighters. The programme was organized by Karanjit Singh, President of Ex Policemen League, District Jammu.
Taushi branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad, J&K Prant, celebrated 77th Republic Day at Baby Caterers Chowk, Rehari Colony Jammu with great enthusiasm and patriotic zeal. Ajay Khajuria, President, BVP Taushi Shakha, unfurled the National Flag on the occasion. Arrangements for the event were coordinated by K L Anand and Anil Chopra of Baby Caterers Banquet Hall.
Greater Kailash Residents Welfare Society, Dr B R Ambedkar Welfare Society and Bharat Vikas Parishad , Greater Kailash Jammu celebrated the Republic day near Old Police Naka, opposite Maharaj Hari Singh Park, Greater Kailash. Mubarak Singh, Ex- DC; Ashwani Sachdeva (Ex-Chief Engineer), Mohinder Singh ( Ex-Corporator), Anil Kumar (Ex-corporator, Gandeep Pargal and Rajinder K Samyal jointly unfurled the National Flag.
Water Works (PHE) Employees Association celebrated republic Day at Company Bagh, Dogra Chowk, Jammu. The function was organized under the leadership of Baldev Raj Sharma (President) and conducted by General Secretary Ajay Sharma. Chief guest on the occasion, Shiv Kumar Sharma (President INTUC), unfurled the National Flag.
Jal Shakti PHE (Employees) and Workers Association, Distt. Udhampur celebrated Republic Day by organizing a programme at PHE Station Barrian Udhampur. Large number of employees participated in the function under the leadership of Som Nath, District President Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and Workers Association. Chief Guest Sandeep Gupta, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti (PHE) Division Udhampur unfurled the National Flag.
To celebrate the 77th Republic Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized a cultural programme in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at Durga Bhawan Janipur. V K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, GoI, was chief guest on the occasion and he along with guest of honour M L Dogra, unfurled the National Flag.
In the Republic day celebration held at JDA Park in Old Janipur, social activist and chairman of Old Janipur Civil Society Action Committee, Kulwant Singh Sambyal unfurled the National Flag.
All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association, Jammu celebrated the republic day at its head Office in Janipur, wherein Om Raj Bali unfurled the National flag. National Anthem was recited and tributes were paid to the freedom fighters.
AIMCCC Organisation, Jagti Township, celebrated Republic day in Park Lane 26 and unfurled the National Flag followed by singing of National Anthem. Chairman and vice president AIMCCC spoke on the occasion.
Association of Industries, Gangyal Jammu, celebrated the Republic Day at AOI Bhavan, Gangyal. National Flag was unfurled by Virendra Jain, president of AOI, who also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of the Day.

Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association, Akhnoor celebrated republic Day by unfurling National Flag at Maj D S Punnu memorial Chowk in Akhnoor. The programme was organized under the chairmanship of Navy veteran Lakhbir Singh Sohal.
