Various organisations celebrate R-Day with patriotic fervour

JAMMU, Jan 27: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated by the various organisations with patriotic fervour, in Jammu.
The Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) celebrated 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Mahajan Bhawan, Shalamar Road Jammu .
Romesh Chander Gupta unfurled the National Flag and said that we should celebrate the pride of our nation and respect the constitution of India and its values in letter and spirit . It is the constitution which unites all the citizens irrespective of their caste colour and creed.
An impressive programme was organized at the Chamber House which commenced with the hoisting of National Flag by Arun Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu.
In his address, Arun Gupta threw light on the martyrdom of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the cause of the nation and its people as a result of which the people of the World’s largest Democracy are enjoying full freedom and self esteem having earned honour and dignity at the global level.
To celebrate the day, Sangam Tru Art Production & Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized a Duggar Folk culture event.
The function was inaugurated by Saleem Beigh, former Director General Tourism, as Chief Guest who unfurled the National Flag along with Vijay Sambyal, Former Director of All India Radio, Jammu.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) celebrated the day with national fervour and patriotism. The people from the surrounding locality gathered at Sabha Bhawan for the celebrations of the national festival.
Th Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president of the Sabha unfurled National Flag in the premises of Sabha Bhawan and exhorted the people to preserve the values of democracy, brotherhood and communal harmony.
Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS), Udhampur organized a grand function to celebrate the day. On this occasion KK Bhardwaj, District President DSS hoisted the National Flag in presence of Ashok Sharma, Manmohan Rana and Suhail Khokhar.
State Bank of India (SBI) local Head Office Chandigarh Circle celebrated 76th Republic Day with full fervour and zeal on 26TH January 2025.
Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager of SBI Chandigarh Circle unfurled the National Flag. Sharma in his address to the staff congratulated everyone on the occasion and applauded the best performance recorded by State Bank of India and attributed the achievement to the hard work of all staff members.
The Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust (DT) celebrated the day at the Trust’s Central Office.
The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Brig R S Langeh (Retd), President of the Trust, along with the Trust’s Secretary, Ashok Kumar Sharma (SSP Retd), in the presence of employees of the Central Office.
The day was celebrated across RS Pura Jammu South constituency, with a series of functions held in every nook and corner of constituency. In this regard, PDP Senior leader Narinder Sharma hoisted the National flag and said that this year’s Republic Day was celebrated under the theme ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Progress) which emphasizes India’s rich cultural legacy while highlighting its strides in development and modernization.
The Central Govt Pensioners’ Welfare Association, Jammu (CGPWA) celebrated the day with enthusiasm & traditional fervour.
The National Flag was unfurled jointly by the President, Kuldeep Khoda, Patron, S S Wazir, General Secretary K B Jandial and former DGP Dr Ashok Bhan followed by the national anthem sung by the pensioners.
Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) celebrated the day at its premises, near Gujjar Nagar Bridge. The Tricolour was unfurled at its building by the Chairman, B R Sharma, State Election Commissioner, Patron Dr Ashok Bhan and the General Secretary Prof Alka Sharma. The Chairman greeted the members of IIPA on 76th Republic Day.
Gandhi Nagar Morning Walkers Association today celebrated the day at Green belt Park with great enthusiasm. The Tricolour was unfurled jointly by Prem Gupta, JBS Johar, Pawan Kalra and Santosh Verma amidst slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai.
K B Jandial who spoke on the occasion, briefly talked about the significance of R-day and I-day and why these days are celebrated. He called upon the people to respect the rights given to them by the constitution & desist from misusing it. It was followed by the national anthem.
The Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and gaiety by Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) Channi Himmat Unit led by its convenor Sunil Sharma with DBPS President Ved Parkash Sharma, NMC President Subash Shastri, NDS Convenor Captain Lalit Sharma jointly unfurled the Tricolour.

Association of Industries (AoI) Gangyal, Jammu celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm. The National Flag was hoisted by the President of Association of Industries Virendra Jain in presence of Sanjay Langar, General Secretary, Ajay Kumar Mahajan, Secretary Jatinder Singh, Treasurer, R P Shastri, Ex- President, R P Sethi, Ex-President and others.
Association of Book Sellers (ABS), Udhampur celebrated Republic Day in presence of eminent and prominent personalities. Arun Kumar Gupta, Social Activist and President, ABS unfurled tricolour in presence of mammoth gathering and organization members.
Udhampur Development Council (UDC) organized a Grand function to celebrate the day.
On this occasion Anil Paba, president UDC hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Parvesh Parihar, General Secretary, Vikas Upadhayay and Rakesh Padha.
Senior Citizens Rejuvenation Centre (SCRC), Trikuta Nagar, celebrated Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event was held under the chairmanship of Ashok Gupta, Chief Patron and in the esteemed presence of S C Verma, President Trikuta Nagar Development Council.
The program was presided over by K S Samyal, President, with a large number of members attending this national celebration.
The event commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the recitation of the National Anthem.
On the occasion of R-Day, a program was organized by Bawa Kailakh Dev Mandir Prabandhak Committee. The flag was hoisted by the committee President, Shakti Dutt Sharma.
Vishva Hindu Parishad organisation secretary Rajendra Bhai, Sadhvi Jyoti Mata of Usha Mata Mandir, Corporator, Kuldeep Singh Chib were mainly present in the program.
Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS), Ambphalla celebrated the day with pride. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolour flag by K K Khosa, President of the Sabha accompanied by the worthy members of Executive Committee. Flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem to pay tribute to the motherland.
A similar function was also organised by All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) at ASKPC Bhawan Durga Nagar. President, ASKPC, R K Wangoo hoisted the National Flag in presence of the members of conference.
Arya Samaj Daya Nand Marg also celebrated the day with fervour. The National Flag was hoisted by General Secretary, Balwan Singh and President, Arun Kumar Gupta in the presence of all the members of Samaj.
A function was organised in Kaith Music Factory (KMF) at Bhagwati Nagar to celebrate the day. Former Secretary to Govt, J&K Social Welfare Department and BJP leader Guldev Raj Bhagat, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
The Jammu & Kashmir Branch (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), organized a function at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu in which the senior as well as younger members participated to celebrate the occasion. On this occasion, Chairman of the J&K Branch of ICAI, Vineet Kohli along with its Committee members & others members of the branch unfurled the national flag and pledged to serve the country & contribute towards nation building.
The R-Day was celebrated by Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) and Brigadier Khuda Baksh Memorial Public Hr Sec School, Bye-Pass Road, Jammu in the presence of Arshad Ali Choudhary (Chairman of GDCT Jammu), Bashir Ahmed Noon (Financial Advisor), Mohammad Sadiq Azad (General Secretary), Tariq Abrar (Trustee), Nehreer Khan(Principal BKBPS) and other esteemed dignitaries and KBPS family in the school premises.
Red Cross Home for Handicapped, Udheywala celebrated the day in their premises. R K Khajuria, Member of governing body accompanied with Satish Kumar Sharma, Sudesh Kumar Verma and Nidhi Jain unfurled the Tricolour.
The day was celebrated by Chamber of Traders Federation (CTF) under the leadership of their president, Neeraj Anand, who unfurled the National Flag in presence of Vinod Sachdeva, Vinod Mahajan, Paman Gupta, Devinder Gupta, Rajinder Morial, S K Sharma, Shiv K Gupta, Deepak Gupta and Parag Abrol.
Swaran Vihar (Police Colony) Residents Welfare Association celebrated the day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The residents unfurled the National Flag and distributed sweets.
All J&K SC Welfare Association celebrated the day at its head office in Janipur. District President Jammu Urban, Jai Pal unfurled the National Flag in the presence of other office bearers included Om Raj Bhall, Gopal Dass, M R Majorta, Krishan Gopal, Shiv Lal, Rajesh Bajgal and Fakir Chand.
All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) also celebrated the day with pride and fervour.
The National Flag was unfurled by party Chairman, B K Raina in the presence of Jawahar Lal Raina, Sanjay Raina, Rajinder Dhar, Ashok Bali, Anil Bali and H N Bhat.
