JAMMU, June 14: Over 40 deputations met Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh and apprised him about the problems related to different departments of the State Government during his public darbar at BJP’s Kachhi Chawni office here today.
Some people also conveyed their individual problems and sought his kind intervention in getting them solved.
A deputation of Hotel Association apprised Dr Nirmal Singh of their problem related to closure certificate as being demanded by Pollution Control Board.
Tawi Andolan Association led by Chander Mohan Sharma urged upon the Deputy CM to issue directions for speeding up the work for beautification of Tawi River.Auto Rickshaw Drivers Union raised the issue of allowing them to ply with old meters.
Rehri Wala Union expressed their unhappiness for being shifted to new places, where they are not in a position to earn livelihood.
Dr. Nirmal Singh gave patient hearings to each deputation and assured that whatever has been brought into his notice will be taken up with the concerned departments and it will be ensured that every genuine problem is looked into seriously and solved as per the aspirations of the people. He further said that meeting of secretaries of different department may also be convened if it is needed. He said that those who could not meet him personally are advised to forward their representations to the personal section.
Taking serious note of the complaint of over 50 students of Sanskrit Sansthan at Jammu that their institution is recognized by Union Ministry of HRD but the J&K State is not entertaining their degrees, the Dy. CM immediately rang the Commissioner Secretary, Education and issued instructions to him to look into the matter and do the needful immediately.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that the BJP has taken very people friendly initiative to facilitate direct interaction of general public with the Ministers so that any one suffering on account of any problem can directly take up the matter with the Minister. He said that although the Assembly session is in progress and the ministers are busy with the Assembly business but keeping in view the concerns of the people of Jammu, every minister is coming to Jammu for direct interaction with them so that no one is made to suffer. He said that the coalition Government is also doing its best to mitigate the problems of the people and the administration at all levels has geared up with directions to adopt people friendly approach while dealing with the public.
