WASHINGTON, Apr 8: The United States and Iran are set to hold talks on Tehran’s nuclear programme in Oman on Saturday.
This was confirmed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who stated that the two countries will hold indirect talks, with Oman acting as a mediator.
However, President Trump clarified that the two countries will hold direct negotiation.
“We’re having direct talks with Iran, and they’ve started. It’ll go on Saturday. We have a very big meeting, and we’ll see what can happen.”
However, he said, “if they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing.”
The purpose of talks is to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear state.
