JAMMU, July 18: BJP spokesperson, Gaurav Gupta welcomed the United States Government’s decision to designate The Resistance Front (TRF)-a Pakistan-sponsored proxy of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT)-as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).
Calling it a “global acknowledgement of India’s long-standing position against cross-border terrorism,” Gupta said this move vindicates what India has consistently raised at international forums: that terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir is not indigenous, but systematically exported, funded, and facilitated by Pakistan. He said, “The barbaric attack in Pahalgam which took the lives of innocent civilians and brave security personnel was not an isolated act, but part of a larger agenda driven by Pakistan’s terror ecosystem. The TRF is merely a rebranded arm of Lashkar-e-Taiba, operating under a new name to mislead the global community.”
He lauded the decisive leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the strategic vision of Home Minister, Amit Shah under whom India has proactively exposed Pakistan’s terror designs at the UN, FATF and in high-level bilateral engagements.
