JAMMU, Dec 10: City Police arrested Uri resident and recovered 8 grams heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station City led by SHO Inspector Vijay Kumar Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK04D-1355.
During checking, police team recovered 8 grams heroin from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested driver was identified as Saeed Nafees Hussain, son of Saeed Barket Hussain, a resident of Gingal Tehsil Uri District Baramulla.
A case under FIR Number 76/2021 under Section 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station City and investigation started.
The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma.
