Uproar in Assembly over militant attacks, BJP MLAs raise anti-Pakistan slogans

JAMMU :  Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today witnessed noisy scenes when some of the members of Bhartiya Janata Party raised ‘anti-Pakistan’ slogans over the  militant attacks in the state.      Three police personnel were  killed in a militant attack in Kashmir Valley yesterday.     BJP Legislator Dr Gagan Bhagat carrying banner ‘No to AFSPA,’ raised the issue during the question hour in the House.      Flanked by other Party MLAs, the members condemned Pakistan sponsored terrorism in the state.      Amid slogans ‘Pakistan Murdabad,’ ‘Security Forces Zindabad,’ the members staged protest in the well of the House.     However, National Conference MLAs created ruckus asserting that the PDP and BJP had no consensus on certain issues.     \”On one hand, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed says that AFSPA withdrawal will take place in a phased manner but the BJP members are saying no to the act revocation,\” NC MLA Ali Mohd Sagar said.    Congress MLA Nawang Rigzin Jora said the coalition partners have difference of opinion over the agendas which they had incorporated in their Common Minimum Programme ( CMP ).      Meanwhile, BJP MLA from Ladakh said  the body of one of the martyred policemen has not yet been shifted to his native village following which the NC members staged a protest in the well of the House.     They said that it is a ‘disrespect’ to the jawan and his body should be immediately airlifted to his home town.      Minister Abdul Haq Khan on behalf of the government said the chopper was already pressed into service but due to inclement weather it could not take off.     “Once the weather is clear, the body will be shifted to his place,” the Minister said.
