JAMMU, Apr 23: Social activist Tarun Uppal has strongly condemned the lynching of three persons including two Sadhus on April 16 in Palghar area of Maharashtra.
In a statement issued here, today Uppal decried the incident and demanded high level probe into killing of two seers and one civilian who were on way to Gujarat to give a Samdhi to another Sadhu. He said it is unfortunate that two seers and their driver were beaten to death in presence of six police personnel who remained the mute spectators.
He said in the country like India where seers and saints are taken with high reverence, such horrendous incident is a blot on working of Maharashtra Government which has completely failed to provide security to them.
