LUCKNOW, Aug 11: Aiming for the 2024 general elections, BJP Government in Uttar Pradesh is trying to connect the youth through the CM’s Fellowship Program, under which respectable salary, allowance, accommodation along with a laptop or tablet will be provided.
The period of the fellowship program is of one year, meaning, till the general elections of 2024 are held.
In the name of research and supervision of the development works of the Government, the youths will be indirectly connected with the activities of the party, who will also manage the votes for the party by coordinating with the people of the grass route level.
Each fellow would be getting a consolidated salary of Rs 40,000, including 10,000 per month as travel allowance and a one-time payment of Rs 15,000 for a tablet.
Anticipating an expenditure of Rs 5.58 crore on the scheme, the Uttar Pradesh Government has invited applications from eligible candidates for this one-year Chief Minister’s Fellowship Program in the State to appoint one research scholar each in the 100 backward blocks of the State to undertake research and development works.
The State Cabinet on July 19 had given its nod to launch Mukhyamantri Fellowship Program and the date for seeking applications was announced today after getting green signal from the top BJP leaders.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been busy meeting top leaders in Delhi for the last two days. After formally announcing the CM’s Fellowship Program, BJP officially said that the program is aims to connect the youth with Government policymaking, management, project implementation and monitoring.
The Government said that the applications for the fellowship program will be accepted till 24th of August. The applicant should be of 40 years of age or less, must be proficient in reading and writing in Hindi as they will be posted in rural parts of the State. As per the qualifying criteria, an applicant must have completed graduation with at least 60 percent marks (first class) from a reputed university or institute. Those possessing a Diploma in Rural Development, Environment & Climate, Banking & Finance, Public Policy, Education, Health, Sanitation & Skill Development, Energy, Tourism & Culture, Artificial Intelligence, I.T. Bio-Technology, among others, can also apply. The applicants must also have excellent computer skills, ability to work on Information and Communication Technology applications and good communication skills. Applicants will be given points on the basis of their educational qualification, degree, any national or international award, any special achievement, voluntary work, work experience etc.
