LEH, May, 22: University of Ladakh organized annual Inter-college Road Race, which commenced from Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and culminated at University Campus Taru, here today.
Students from University’s Kargil and Leh Campuses as well as GDC Drass, Kargil, Nubra, Khaltse and Zanskar participated in the event.
In the boys category, Zakir Hussain from GDC Kargil stood 1st, while Mohammad Muzamil from GDC Drass and Mohammad Umar from Leh Campus, UOL remained 2nd and 3rd respectively, besides in girls’ category, Tashi Ladol from Leh Campus bagged first position, while Stanzin Dolkar from Leh Campus remained 2nd and Sonam Angmo from GDC Khaltse clinched 3rd position.
The winners were honoured by the chief guest Imteeaz Kachoo (Registrar, University of Ladakh).
The other dignitaries including Prof Deskyong Namgyal Dean Academic Affairs, University of Ladakh and Konchok Angmo, Director, Leh Campus, UoL were the guests of honour. The event was coordinated by Dr Jigmat Dachen, Dean Students Welfare.
