KATRA, Mar 25: Police booked a pony handler for operating on Mata Vaishno Devi track without a valid registration card.
A case FIR has been registered in this connection at Police Station Katra against the accused pony handler, identified as Arif Hossain, son of Mohd Alam, resident of Dhanu, Tehsil Bhalwal, District Jammu,
The accused pony handler was found operating illegally in violation of the rules framed for pony, pithoo and palki operators.
Police has advised pilgrims to avail services only from registered and verified operators and cooperate with police in maintaining discipline during the ongoing festivities.
