JAMMU, Feb 28: NC additional general secretary, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra has claimed that the Union Government has consistently failed to address the concerns of J&K’s youth.
Speaking at a joining programme here today which was organized under the leadership of Tejinder Pal Singh Aman, provincial president Jammu YNC, Sadhotra said: “Hollow policies and lack of employment opportunities over the last decade have severely impacted the future of young people in J&K.”
He further said that present J&K Government, under the leadership of CM Omar Abdullah is committed to reverse this trend by implementing policies that will generate employment and boost economic growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Rattan Lal Gupta, NC provincial president Jammu province stressed that the upcoming Budget Session is an opportunity for lawmakers to raise the pressing public issues like unemployment, economic distress, plight of farmers etc.
Welcoming new entrants into NC, Tejinder Singh urged them to work diligently for strengthening the Party at grassroots level. Among those who joined NC were Ravi Kumar, president Matador Union Ramnagar, Abdul Razaq Banday and Irshad Ahmad, youth leaders of Ramnagar.
