JAMMU, June 5: Wielding sharp weapon, two unidentified persons, who were riding on a scooty without a number plate, attacked a woman in broad daylight at Durga Nagar locality here and snatched her gold chain.

The incident happened between 3:45 to 3:53 PM on Wednesday when Sunita, a resident of Durga Nagar, was waiting outside a home for her daughter to return from the school.
As the bike rider found the woman alone, they approached her on the pretext of asking for an address and suddenly attacked her to snatch her gold chain.
However, the woman resisted the efforts of the duo by snatching the key of their scooty they escaped from the spot using duplicate key.
Police have taken cognisance of the matter by registering a case FIR number 137/2025 under section 307 BNS at Police Station Domana against the unidentified persons and started further investigation into the matter.
No arrest had been made in the case till the press time.
