Unidentified man hit, killed by train

SAMBA, July 21: A young man was killed after being hit by a Delhi-bound train in Samba district late Sunday night.
According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), the incident took place around 10:35 PM on July 20 when the unidentified man, believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties, was struck by train number 14606 — Yog Nagari Rishikesh Express — while he was crossing the railway tracks near Bari Brahmana (at track kilometer 85.32). The man died on the spot due to the impact.
Following directions from the SSP Railways Jammu, the mutilated body was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for postmortem and legal formalities. Efforts are underway to establish his identity.
The deceased is described as a wheatish-complexioned male, and wearing a black pant and a blackish T-shirt at the time of the incident.
