JAMMU, Nov 9: An unidentified man was found dead under suspicious circumstance from Narwal area here today.
One individual, aged around 30, was spotted in an unconscious state near a pond in Narwal area by the bystanders, who informed police, a police official said.
Accordingly, he said, a team from Police Post Narwal reached at the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Later, the body of the deceased individual was shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for identification and post-mortem purposes, he said.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the reasons behind the mysterious death of the individual.
They have also requested the general public to help them identify the deceased individual so that his post-mortem is conducted at the earliest.
