JAMMU, Jan 18: An unidentified man was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Narwal area here today.
A male, aged around 27 years, was spotted in an unconscious state by some passerby at Narwal Yard number 6 (Transport Nagar), a police official said.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared him dead on arrival, he said.
While the body of the deceased individual has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for post-mortem examination and identification purposes, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
