SAMBA, Nov 14: An unidentified man died after being hit by a train on the railway track in Samba district today, officials said.
Between kilometre points 66.31 and 66.333 in the jurisdiction of Police Post GRP Samba, an unknown train struck an unidentified individual today, leaving him dead on the spot, they said.
The body was shifted to District Hospital Samba for post-mortem and identification, the officials said.
According to them, the deceased appears to be between twenty-five and thirty years old, with a height of approximately five feet five inches. He has a wheatish complexion and was wearing a white check shirt and black jeans at the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, the Railway Police have requested the public to help in establishing his identity.
