JAMMU, Aug 27: An unidentified male body was recovered from the fields in Marh area here today.
A mud-covered male body of around 75-year-old individual was spotted in the fields at Chak Dina area of Marh around 3:45 PM by some passerby, who informed the police, a police official said.
Accordingly, the body was taken into custody and shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu for post-mortem and identification purposes, she said.
While police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter, they have also appealed the general public to help them identify the deceased individual.
