JAMMU, Mar 16: An unidentified male body was recovered from a railway track near the Balidan Stambh area of Jammu, officials said.
The body was found at around 7:41 PM on March 14 near railway track kilometre 1.14 within the jurisdiction of Police Station GRP Jammu, they said.
According to them, the deceased had both legs amputated and was wearing a blue trouser and a grey coloured upper garment at the time of recovery.
Officials said the body has been shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for post-mortem and identification.
The deceased is described as wheatish in complexion, about 3 feet 8 inches tall and aged around 25-30 years.
