JAMMU, Jan 18: Forest Department today carried out an encroachment drive in Bathindi area on city outskirts and demolished an under-construction house being built illegally on the forest land.
The drive was carried out this morning by a team of forest officials led by concerned Range Officer in collaboration with a police team led by SDPO East Sheezan Bhat. The drive was carried out peacefully during which an under-construction house being built on a piece of 10-15 marla of forest land was demolished.
A notice was pasted on the site with clear warning to the encroacher not to do any further construction on the land.
