Ukraine shelled Kursk border area 40 times in 24 hours

Kursk, Jan 15 : The Ukrainian armed forces shelled the evacuated border areas of Russia’s Kursk Region 40 times in the past day, the region’s governor, Alexander Khinshtein, said on Thursday.
“Summary of the operational situation in the Kursk Region over the past day. In total, between 9 a.m. on January 14 to 7 a.m on January 15 [06:00 GMT on January 14 to 04:00 GMT on January 15], 15 Ukrainian drones of various types were shot down over the region. The enemy used artillery 40 times against the evacuated areas. Enemy drones attacked our territory, dropping explosive devices 12 times,” Khinshtein wrote on Telegram.
There were no casualties or injuries, nor any damage to buildings or structures, the governor added.
In the past day, Kiev launched 42 artillery strikes on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson Region, with 19 settlements coming under fire, the Russian emergency services said. (UNI)
