UK imposes sanctions against Russia’s Gazprom SPG Portovaya LNG Plant

LONDON, Feb 24: The United Kingdom imposed sanctions on Russia’s Gazprom SPG Portovaya LNG plant and Cryogas Vysotsk LLC, the UK government said on Tuesday.

“0.1 Entities and individuals involved in supporting the Russian energy sector: … 7. Gazprom SPG portovaya limited liability company; 8. Cryogas vysotsk limited liability comapny,” the document read.

London also imposed sanctions on 29 entities and individuals connected to the Russian defence sector. The list now includes Stupino metallurgical company, a nuclear engineering company located in Nizhny Novgorod, JSC Afrikantov, manufacturer of sonar equipment Dalpribor, JSC Altay Instrument-making plant Rotor, as well as Ural Diesel Engineer Plant LLC.

The UK also added the Polish construction company Alliance Capital to the list of anti-Russian sanctions.

The list of Russian banks under sanctions now includes Post Bank JSC, Avers Bank JSC, Transcapitalbank, JSC Absolut Bank, Sinara Bank JSC, LLC Bank Tochka, AK Bars Bank, and Fora-Bank.
