JAMMU, Jan 5: Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, has been awarded the ‘Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) for his outstanding work and dedication in the railways during the year 2025.
The award will be presented by Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw. This award is being given to him for bringing unprecedented improvements and innovations in commercial and passenger services in the Jammu Division during the year 2025.
After the formation of the Jammu Division in 2025, Uchit Singhal assumed charge as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, on March 23, 2025. Under his hard work and leadership, significant improvements were made in passenger amenities and operational efficiency in the Jammu Division. His significant contributions to the achievements of the Jammu Division include the successful operation of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) line, upgradation of passenger facilities, and revenue generation, which have revitalized railway services.
The ‘Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) 2025’ ceremony will be held on January 9 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Delhi. Approximately 100 outstanding employees from various Railway zones and departments across the country will be felicitated.
