JAMMU, Mar 10: Gujjar Nagar police busted tyres stealing gang by arrested a thief.
As per police sources, few days back, the tyres of a vehicle belonging to ex-corporator were stolen from Gujjar Nagar area.
In this regard, a case under FIR Number 33/16 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Peer Mitha police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
On specific information, a team from Gujjar Nagar police post conducted raid in Bari Brahmana area and arrested the accused thief, who has been identified as Muzaffer Hussain.
Police also seized the car bearing registration number JK21B-0008, which was used by the accused to commit the theft.
Stolen tyres were also recovered, while manhunt is going on to nab two other persons, involved in the case.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Gujjar Nagar police post SI Mohammad Rashid made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Peer Mitha Javed Malik, SDPO City Vivek Shekher Sharma and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
