JAMMU, Oct 26: Tawi Welfare Society hosted a captivating cultural exchange and outreach program for students from various states of India studying at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, aiming to immerse them in the rich Dogra culture and traditions.
Chief guest Anu Sharma, Under Secretary, Chief Minister’s Public Services (Raabita) Office Jammu, delivered an inspiring speech, motivating young minds and sharing insights into the vibrant Dogra heritage. Her husband, Vivek Gupta, accompanied her.
Yash Paul Mangotra, General Secretary, and Nand Kishor, Senior Member of TWS, shared in-depth knowledge about Dogra culture and the society’s multifaceted activities, leaving a lasting impact on the students.
The students were deeply impressed by TWS’s social initiatives and commitment to serving the underprivileged.
Anu Sharma distributed 100 Ration Kits to recent flood victims and needy families in a heartwarming gesture. The event featured an interactive session where IIM students shared their thoughts and experiences with TWS members.
A ceremonial plantation drive was also organized, with Anu Sharma planting a sapling at Apnavan, symbolizing growth and sustainability. Traditional Dogri delicacies, including Daal, Rice, Umbal, Qayur, Babbar, and Kheer, were served, adding a culinary touch to the event.
The program concluded with gratitude and newfound appreciation for the Dogra culture and TWS’s humanitarian efforts.
