JAMMU, June 12: Two young men lost their lives in a tragic road accident at Jeevan Nagar locality in the Satwari area of Jammu district today.

The deceased have been identified as Rohit Kumar, son of Subash Chander, and Mohinder Pal, son of Tarsem Lal, both residents of Lawal Chak in Miran Sahib.
A police official said the duo was travelling on a motorcycle (JK02CH-5736) from Gangyal towards Satwari when an unknown vehicle hit them between 4:15 PM and 4:30 PM at Jeevan Nagar locality.
He said both sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.
While the bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examinations, police have registered a case under the relevant Sections of the law at Police Station Satwari and initiated further investigation to trace the vehicle involved in the incident.
