JAMMU, Nov 22: A one-week training programme on “Capacity Building and Training of Women as Aapda Sakhi for Disaster Management” concluded today at the Central Training Institute (CTI) HG/CD, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The camp was inaugurated by Zahid Naseem Manhas, Commandant, SDRF 2nd Battalion Jammu. During the valedictory function, Mohd Arshad, DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The event was also attended by Rafi Giri, SO to Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K, Dinesh Gupta, Deputy SP, SDRF 2nd Batallion Jammu, Naseem Akhter, Deputy SP, Area Commandant, HG Jammu, Zia-ul-Haq, Deputy SP, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Jammu, Dev Raj, Deputy SP, Principal CTI HG/CD Kot Bhalwal Jammu, and Assistant Commandant NDRF, along with Area Commandants of Home Guards Samba, Rajouri and Kathua.
The training programme aimed at empowering women by enhancing their skills and preparedness in disaster management, thereby strengthening community resilience.
