Two unknown people found dead

KATHUA/JAMMU, June 18: Police today claimed to have recovered two unidentified male bodies from Kathua and Jammu districts.
A police official said on June 17, 2025, around 8:30 PM, an unknown person, aged 35-40 years, was hit by Vande Bharat Express within the jurisdiction of Police Station GRP Kathua.
He was taken to a medical facility where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, he said, adding that the body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of the GMC Kathua for post-mortem and identification purposes.
According to him, around five feet and seven inches tall and wheatish in complexion, the deceased was wearing a green coloured T-shirt and sky colour jeans at the time of his death.

Another unknown person, aged around 55-60 years, was found dead under suspicious circumstances near Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu on June 17.
Since the identity and cause of the death of the deceased was not known, police have launched inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
According to police, wheatish in complexion, five feet and seven inches tall, the deceased was wearing a green t-shirt with multicoloured lining on it and green coloured trouser at the time of death.
Police have appealed general public to dial PCR Jammu and Police Station Gandhi Nagar in case of having any information about the deceased.
