Two thieves arrested, stolen gold ornaments recovered

JAMMU, Nov 18: Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen gold ornaments from their possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Bakshi Nagar by a person namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Om Prakash of Resham Ghar Colony District Jammu stating that on November 11 this year some unknown thieves barged into his house and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 3,41,000.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 170/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Bakshi Nagar was constituted under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested two thieves, who were identified as Mukul Kalotra, son of Bharat Bhushan of Resham Ghar Colony District Jammu and Darshan Kumar, son of Basu Ram of Gujarat, at present Resham Ghar Colony District Jammu.
On their disclosure stolen items were recovered.
Further questioning of the arrested thieves is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
