JAMMU, Apr 14: Khour police solved a theft case with the arrest of two burglars and recovery of stolen cash.
As per police sources, on April 8, a person identified as Sanju Kumar, son of Harihar, a resident of Chattisgarh, presently living in a rented accommodation at Khour lodged a complaint with police station Khour stating that some unidentified persons broke open the door of his rented accommodation and decamped with Rs 15,000 cash.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 32/16 under Section 454 and 380 RPC was registered at police station Khour and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, several persons were rounded up for questioning, out of which two persons broke down and confessed to commit the theft.
The accused have been identified as Sevak Ram, son of Khem Lal and Daleep Kumar, son of Dhan Singh Siddar, both residents of Chattisgarh and presently staying in a rented accommodation at Khour. On their disclosure, stolen cash worth Rs 15,000 was also recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Khour police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
