RAMBAN, June 22: Two shops were gutted here today in a fire incident at main market of Banihal.
Official sources informed that fire broke out in the upper storey of a triple storey building belonging to Mohammad Anwar Bhat in main market of Banihal along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
They said that a computer shop of Mohammad Ishaq Naik, son of Ghulam Rasool Naik and a tailor shop of Jahangeer Ahmed Wani were destroyed in the blaze.
The fire was immediately brought under control jointly by the fire tenders from Fire and Emergency Services Department, Banihal, Police and local volunteers.
No one was injured in the fire incident.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation to ascertain the exact cause behind the fire.
