JAMMU, July 29: Two Pakistani youth today rode their way into the Indian territory on a motor-cycle in forward village of Korotana Khurd in RS Pura sector from Kamalpur area of Sialkot this morning.
The Border Security Force (BSF), as a goodwill gesture, returned both the youth to the Pakistani Rangers in a flag meeting at Octroi Post in RS Pura sector this afternoon, official sources said.
They said the BSF jawans observed two Pakistani youth, riding on a bike, entering into Indian territory at forward village of Korotana Khurd ahead of the fencing this morning. Both of them were asked to surrender, which they did, as soon as they intruded into the Indian side. The BSF took them into custody.
The youth disclosed their identity to the BSF as Tahir Ali son of Mohammad Din and Tajeeb Mohammad son of Aamir Ali, both residents of Kamalpur, Sialkot. They were riding on motor-cycle No. 2464 XMT.
The BSF jawans quizzed the Pakistani youth during which they disclosed that both of them were friends and were moving in their forward village of Kamalpur when they inadvertently sneaked into this side.
The BSF jawans found one ATM card and one identity card from their possession.
The BSF officials established contact with the Rangers and verified identity of the youth. As it was established that the youth had no wrong intentions of sneaking into this side and had crossed over inadvertently, the BSF called for a flag meeting with the Rangers to repatriate the youth.
The flag meeting was arranged this afternoon and both the youth along with their motor-cycle were handed over to the Rangers by the BSF jawans this afternoon.
Sources said the youths were all praise for the BSF for repatriating them to Pakistan within hours of their intrusion.
It may be mentioned here that the BSF has been maintaining a high alert all along the International Border in anticipation of infiltration attempts by the militants from Pakistan side. The vigil has been further intensified after the detection of a deep tunnel dug into Indian side from Pakistan to facilitate intrusion of the militants.
This was for the second time when Pakistani youth had landed into Indian side in RS Pura sector riding on a bike or bicycle. Prior to this , a Pakistani youth had sneaked into this side while riding on a bicycle.
Sources said the International Border in RS Pura sector was open at some places as the fencing has been erected few meters inside the Indian territory.
