JAMMU, Nov 7: Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Jammu and Kathua district, respectively.
According to a police spokesperson, a 45-year-old bike borne man was killed on the spot after his bike bearing registration No JK02BB-0963 was hit by a bus bearing registration JK02D-5219, this evening at Gadigarh.
On getting information police reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. A case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station against the accused bus driver, who fled from the spot leaving behind his vehicle. Police has seized both the vehicles involved in the accident.
Another accident occurred last evening at Sanjhi Morh in Kathua district in which a bike collided with a scooter. In the mishap, bike rider, who has been identified as Karan Kumar (25) son of Pawan Kumar, a resident of Hiranagar, received serious injuries and was shifted to GMCH, where he expired today at around 8.30 pm.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital. The concerned police has already taken cognizance of the matter.
