UDHAMPUR, Jan 13: A pedestrian was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle near Samrole on the Udhampur National Highway while a motorcyclist died when his bike was hit by a vehicle at Roun Domail, here today.
Reports said that Surinder Kumar (42), son of Babu Ram, resident of village Siuna Udhampur, was walking on the roadside when an unidentified and rashly driven vehicle from Chenani to Udhampur side hit him.
Even as some locals took the victim to District Hospital Udhampur, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, one Akhil Sharma (22), son of Om Parkash, resident of Modalath Ramnagar Udhampur also died in road accident at Roun Domail when his bike was hit by an unidentified vehicle. He was rushed to GMC Jammu, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
