JAMMU, Oct 22: Two persons died in a late night road accident at Sidhra area here.
A police official said that Toheed Ahmed son of Shabir Ahmed of Rajouri and an unidentified pillion rider were riding on a bike (JK11H-2944) and heading towards Sidhra area from Nagrota when they were hit by a truck (UP70JT-5324) on the Tawi Bridge area around 9:30 pm, resulting in injuries to the duo.

They were immediately shifted to the Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared them as dead on arrival, he said.
The police official added that the driver of the vehicle fled the crime scene while as his vehicle has been seized.
A case under the relevant Sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up, he added.
