JAIPUR, May 17: Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot today said that even after nearly a month since the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, two questions still linger in the minds of the people – why have the terrorists responsible for the attack not been caught yet, and what action has been taken against those responsible for the lapse that led to the attack.
“It has been almost a month since the Pahalgam attack, but two questions still haunt the nation – why have the terrorists not been apprehended yet, and what action has been taken against those responsible for the lapse,” Gehlot said.
He questioned whether the ceasefire agreement with Pakistan includes a condition for handing over terrorists to India.
Gehlot also pointed out that despite the government acknowledging a lapse in Pahalgam, no information has been provided on the action taken against those responsible.
He drew parallels with the Pulwama terror attack, saying that even after five years, the nation still does not know what action was taken against those responsible for the lapse and how hundreds of kilograms of RDX reached the site of the attack in which over 40 paramilitary personnel were killed.
