JAMMU, Aug 11: The notorious Chinese kite flying thread here today injured two friends travelling on a motorcycle.
Police sources informed that the duo was moving from Mishriwala to Jammu and the Chinese thread struck them at flyover near a popular ice-cream vend adjoining the Ranbir Canal at Shakti Nagar area leaving them injured.
They were shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital with the help of some passersby.
These victims of Chinese thread were identified as Anmol Mahajan, 32, son of Pawan Kumar and Varun Gupta, 25, son of Tarsem Gupta-both residents of Mishriwala.
Throat of Anmol was badly injured in the incident and he was critical while Varun Gupta got his fingers injured in the incident and was out of danger till last reports.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
