DODA, Dec 8: Police here today solved a theft case with the arrest of two thieves and recovered the stolen property along with the vehicle used in commission of the crime.
Official sources said that on December 6, 2025, a written complaint was submitted by Nisar Ahmad Shapoo, son of Ghulam Ahmad Shapoo, resident of Passri, Bhaderwah at Police Station Bhaderwah regarding the theft.
Acting on the complaint, an FIR with number 158/2025 under sections 308(2), 351(2) & 3(5) of BNS was registered at the Police Station and investigation started. After hectic efforts cops arrested two persons Mohd Rafiq Butt, son of Mohd Sabir Butt, resident of Sekwan Beoli, Doda and Mohd Sunny Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohd Sheikh, resident of Akramabad, Doda.
During questioning, both accused confessed to the commission of the crime and on their disclosure cops recovered the stolen cash amounting to Rs. 15,000 from their possession and the electric auto bearing registration number JK06C-0562, used in the crime was also seized. Investigation in the case was underway till last reports.
