RAMBAN, Aug 18: Police here today solved two theft cases and arrested two thieves along with the stolen property.
As per police sources, on August 12, a written complaint was lodged by Mohammad Amir at Police Station Chanderkote regarding theft in his shop.
Accordingly, a case in FIR No. 47 of 2025 under relevant sections of law was registered.
In another case, on August 14, a complaint was lodged by Sheikh Irshad Ahmad regarding theft of household items from his residence and a case in FIR No. 48 of 2025 was registered under relevant sections of law.
SSP Ramban, Arun Gupta constituted a special police team to solve the theft cases.
Acting swiftly, the cops apprehended the suspects identified as Mudasir Mir and Vikas Kumar and both confessed their involvement in the crime.
On their disclosures stolen items were recovered in both the cases.
The arrest and recovery was made by police teams led by SHO Police Station Chanderkote and PSI Yudveer Sharma under the Supervision of DySP Hqrs Ramban, Addl SP Ramban and under the overall Supervision of SSP Ramban.
