Two held with stolen JCB

JAMMU, Jan 4: Police here today arrested two thieves and recovered the stolen JCB from them and also seized the vehicle used in committing the crime.
Cops from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Vikram Singh under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar and Dy.SP Dachan recovered the stolen property worth Rs. 4 lakh within 24 hours of the crime and arrested the accused persons involved in a theft case of FIR No. 01/2026 under sections 303 of BNS registered at Police Station Chatroo regarding theft of JCB rock breaker from near Army Camp, Chatroo.
Acting promptly on the complaint, the investigation was started and the investigation led to the identification and arrest of the accused persons Muzaffar Hussain, son of Akal Din, resident of Padyarna and Muneer Hussian, son of Ali Mohd, resident of Dool Kuchalna.
During interrogation, the accused confessed involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, stolen JCB rock breaker worth approximately Rs. 400000 was recovered along with Mahindra Pickup vehicle.
Further investigation was in progress.
A handout stated that the recovered property will be handed over to the rightful owner after completion of legal formalities.
