DODA, June 30: Police here today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 5 gram of heroin (chitta) like substance from their possession in Bhaderwah area.
Officials sources informed that yesterday reliable sources informed Police Station Bhaderwah that two persons—Shubam Raina, son of Daya Krishnan, resident of Mohalla Doda and Balvir Singh, son of Om Parkash, resident of Gai Dessa were staying in a hotel at Sari Bazar Bhaderwah and some contraband like chitta was in their possession.
Upon receipt of this information, a case in FIR No. 88/2024 U/S 8/21/29 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation was started by PSI Amit Sharma.
Accordingly the Investigating Officer along with Executive Magistrate raided the room of the hotel and on search of the peddlers 2 gram heroin like substance was recovered from Balvir Singh and 3 grams from Shubam and both were arrested.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
