SAMBA, Mar 2: Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with 22.23 grams of heroin-like substance and three mobile phones in Samba district today, officials said.
Acting on specific information, a team of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba intercepted a motorcycle near Kalibari, Rakh Amb Talli, they said.
On search, approximately 22.23 grams of heroin-like substance and t here mobile phones were recovered from the possession of the biker and his pillion rider, officials said.
Accordingly, they said, the duo, identified as Rohit Bhagat of Ranjri, tehsil Vijaypur, district Samba, and Sahil Kumar of Sum, tehsil and district Jammu, was arrested and booked in case FIR number 54/2026 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation taken up.
