JAMMU, Mar 21: Two individuals were arrested with heroin-like substance in RS Pura area here today.
During routine patrolling duty near Sunderpur Road, a bike was intercepted, a police official said, adding that on search of the biker and his pillion rider, 8.99 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered.
Accordingly, he said, the accused, identified as Kuldeep Kumar of Raipur Gujran, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, and his pillion rider, identified as Rohit Kumar of Chak Aslam, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, were arrested and booked in case FIR number 60/2026 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a police team headed by PSI Vishal Singh assisted by other police officials under the supervision of SHO RS Pura Tribhawan Khajuria and overall supervision of SP Headquarters IH Rather.
