JAMMU, June 7: Two individuals were arrested with over 61 grams of heroin-like-substance in Bishnah area today.
During investigation of a case FIR number 53/2025 registered under sections 8, 21, 22, 25, and 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bishnah, a vehicle (JK02CS-0285) was intercepted by a police team at Ismailpur area and 13.57 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from two occupants of the vehicle identified as Sunny Khajuria of Ismailpur and Ankush Salgotra alias Tony of Mehmoodpur, a police official said.
Following the arrest, he said, police carried out a raid in the house of Sunny Khajuria, leading to the recovery of 47.56 grams of heroin-like-substance.
The police official said both the individuals are known repeat offenders in drug-related activities.
According to him, the operation was conducted by Police Station Bishnah under the leadership of Inspector Sushil Choudhary, SHO Bishnah, supervised by SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
It is important to mention here that this was the third recovery of the heroin-like-substance in Bishnah area in last one week, with seven individuals arrested.
