REASI, July 11: Two persons were arrested with 6 grams of heroin from Kakryal area of Katra today.
During routine checking at Kakryal naka on the Dhirti road, a two-wheeler (JK02CP-5240) was intercepted for checking, a police official said.
On search of the bike rider and his pillion, identified as Jugal Kishore of Sool, Katra, and Mohammad Razak of Treen, tehsil Katra, district Reasi, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession, he said.
Accordingly, both of the individuals were taken into custody and booked in case FIR number 198/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation taken up, the police official said.
Pertinently, the entire operation was conducted under the leadership of SHO Katra, Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Katra, Dr Bhism Dubey.
