KISHTWAR, Jan 14: Police here today arrested two drug peddlers from separate locations and recovered 8 grams heroin-like intoxicant substance from them.
In this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Javaid Iqbal Mir informed that during routine patrolling and frisking at Indira Nagar area of Kishtwar, cops led by SHO Police Station Kishtwar, Inspector Firdous Ahmed under the supervision of senior officers intercepted a suspicious individual identified as Arsalan Ahmed, son of Khursheed Ahmed, resident of Huller, Kishtwar.
On his search cops recovered heroin-like narcotic substance wrapped in aluminium foil, weighing about 3.05 grams.
In this connection, a case in FIR with number 15/2025 U/Section 8/21 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
At another location, cops from Police Station Kishtwar while checking people in Poochal area apprehended another suspicious pedestrian identified as Imran Hussain, son of Ghulam Nabi Giri, resident of Machgadi Poochal, Kishtwar.
On his checking cops recovered heroin like narcotic substance weighing about 4.05 grams.
In this regard a case in FIR with number 18/2025 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act was registered and investigations started.
