RAMBAN, Feb 8: Police here today while checking at Gund, Banihal arrested two persons and recovered 217 gm cannabis from them.
Police sources informed that under the supervision of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh, a team of cops from Police Station Banihal while on checking duty at Gund, Banihal intercepted two persons moving in suspicious circumstances and during their frisking 217 gram cannabis (charas) was recovered from them.
Both Irshad Ahmed, son of Abdul Salam Sheikh, resident of Ward no. 1, Ramban and Shahid Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Nai Basti Ramban were arrested on the spot and an FIR with No. 13 of 2025 under Sections 8/20,/29 NDPS Act was registered in this regard at Police Station Banihal.
